2018 – An idea born between the roots of the forest and the roots of my passion
After several years spent abroad, everything truly began in the heart of British Columbia, in Canada. Passionate about mountain biking for as long as I can remember, I explored the legendary spots of Vancouver, Whistler, the Sunshine Coast, and Vancouver Island. There, biking is much more than a sport: it’s a culture. A close-knit community, an endless playground, a philosophy of life. It was in this environment that I had the opportunity to try carbon fiber wheels for the very first time. And then… a revelation. My riding changed overnight: more precision, more responsiveness, more confidence. The performance gain was clear—almost unbelievable at the time.
The turning point
Back in France, with memories filling my mind and a passion stronger than ever, I felt the need to create something that truly reflected who I am. A human-sized project, focused on performance, but also on authenticity.
That’s how the idea of Shore-Carbon was born.
Why “Shore”? As a tribute to the North Shore Mountains, north of Vancouver—the birthplace of freeride and the source of my inspiration.C’est ainsi qu’est née l’idée de Shore-Carbon.

The beginning of the journey
In early 2018, I began sketching the outlines of my project: creating a carbon wheel brand that combines performance, design, and high standards. I wanted to offer something new: a clean aesthetic, true ride quality, and serious craftsmanship. But everything still had to be built…
The first wheels: from dream to reality
Finding a carbon rim supplier is no easy task. The options are many, but I was looking for a partner with strong values: reliability, openness, and a true willingness to co-create. Together, we began testing different molds and various carbon layups, searching for the right balance between lightness, stiffness, and strength.
In the beginning, it was very hands-on and artisanal: a few stickers, testing on local trails, and above all countless riding sessions to feel, adjust, and improve.Au début, c’était artisanal : quelques stickers, des tests sur les trails locaux, et surtout beaucoup de sessions ride pour ressentir, corriger, améliorer.
Test. Break. Start again. Test again.
Two full seasons of riding, every week, in all conditions.
Enduro, downhill, bike parks, demanding singletracks… nothing was spared.
Each rim was pushed to its limits to evaluate its durability, stiffness, cornering behavior, and riding feel.
The result? Wheels that truly deliver.
They allowed me to progress, to ride with more enjoyment, confidence, and speed. And this isn’t a slogan, it’s what I feel on every single ride.
The logo, the image, the universe
Creating a brand isn’t just about putting a name on a product. It’s about creating a universe.
The “SC” logo quickly became an obvious choice: simple, readable, slightly aggressive yet refined.
I then worked on a visual identity that truly reflects who we are: fresh, natural, high-contrast, and deeply rooted in the outdoor world.
Wheel design
For the first prototypes, we used vinyl decals to test different graphic styles.
Today, the designs are printed directly onto the rims during manufacturing, with a choice of finish: glossy or matte. Every detail matters.
As for the hubs, we have established a strong partnership with Bitex, a well-known manufacturer based in the United Kingdom.
This allows us to offer exclusive, reliable, and high-performance designs.
Hand-assembled in France
What sets us apart today is also our strong local roots.
Our wheels are received, built, laced, and hand-assembled in our workshop near Grenoble, in the heart of the Alps.
Every wheel that leaves our workshop has passed through our hands. And that changes everything:
